No kidding! My friends and I talk often about being invisible. Not only by stores, mechanics, sales, restaurants, and online retailers ( how many times have we wanted to throttle a clueless young manager who wouldn’t know good customer service if it slapped th.....? Well, you get the point. ) but especially doctors and hospitals? Why can’t we lose weight? Why don’t we sleep? Those factor greatly into overall health. Why, when my fully functioning 99 year old mother went in to get checked after taking a fall ( required by her independent senior living facility) did doctors take her off her diuretics (her only med) and ask her and us where she wanted to die? Why do clothes we’d like to buy only make us look frumpier? I mean , it’s a challenge, but designers could try a little. Weight loss facilities have either given up after trying or say if you’re over 65 we don’t help, period. All of this at a time in life many of us have more money than we did when raising kids and we don’t mind getting rid of some of it for worthy causes ( like ourselves ).😊 Looking forward to your book.
